With the COVID-19 spread across European countries and the rest of the world, various restrictions have been put in place to contain the pandemic. Such restrictions affect the life of persons affected by dementia and their relatives and carers. Restrictions range from the closure of important healthcare and social services such as day care or respite care, to the prohibition of visits to nursing and old people’s homes.


In order to support people with dementia, carers, care professionals and national Alzheimer’s associations during the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Alzheimer Europe has put together a range of valuable online resources with helpful information, tips and guidelines.
